Todd and I met with many photographers before choosing True Photography. Upon entering their studio, we felt completely at ease. They were willing to answer our questions and stayed with us for quite a while showing us their work! You can tell right away that everyone there loves what they do, are passionate about it, and also extremely professional. The quality and uniqueness of their work far surpassed that of any other photographer we met with! Todd and I were a bit nervous going into the engagement shoot, but quickly started having fun with it. We were so comfortable with our photographer, and actually didn’t want it to end! We are so excited for our wedding day and have full confidence in True Photography, our florists at Botanica, and our wedding coordinator, Gail Garceau, with GG Weddings.

Cullen and I met the good old fashioned way…on the Internet!!!

After having way too many failed attempts at meeting people out at the bars, juggling extremely demanding work and school schedules, we both decided to take a chance on a lucky star and sign up for Match.com. After a brief phone conversation and an email, Cullen and I had our first date at a restaurant/bar called Brick in San Francisco on November 14th, 2008. We instantly hit it off! We were totally smitten and absolutely inseparable ever since that moment!! The next weekend I had a party and invited Cullen to come. We couldn’t get enough of each other! Two weeks later we were crazy in love, and 6 months later we were engaged!!! You’ve heard what they say, “When you know, you know!!!”

We chose True Photography because Michael and Cullen just hit it off from the very first moment they met!! Michael is extremely laid back and cool, just like we are (California style, baby!). For instance, he brought his then girlfriend and now wife to the photography meeting to lay out at the L’Auberge pool while we chatted. Cullen and I thought that was an awesome idea, and something we would do if the tables were turned!

Also because Cullen is 6’3” tall and Michael is 6’7”, it meant that Michael would be shooting us from up above for a very flattering angle.

Our shoot at Balboa Park was AMAZING! We were running late due to a slew of late appointments and unforeseen fiascoes that happened that day. Michael, as always, had a great attitude and made us feel right at ease from the start, even though we arrived so flustered. I didn’t know what to expect for the shoot, but the photos are the envy of all our family and friends. Michael is an extremely talented photographer with a warm smile and big heart. We are so happy to have him shoot us on our most special day. Thanks to him and all of the crew at True for making us feel so at home!!!

Brandon and I were introduced by his cousin whom I was attending graduate school with. Brandon and I shared an excitement for travel, adventure, family, and soon each other. We had been dating for 2 and a half years when Brandon proposed, and it was such a surprise. Brandon came home from work a little earlier than me on a random Thursday. He had set up a video camera to catch the whole thing on film. It was a great proposal in that it was very genuine, real, and unexpected. We then quickly planned a wedding for December 18th. We have really loved planning this wedding and are just now counting down until the big day.

For the engagement shoot we really wanted to do something other than the beach. Aaron and Mike at True Photography had great ideas and we ended up loving our pictures. Planning my wedding has been such an easy process thanks to the help of Mary Noble Classic Weddings, the people at the US Grant, and Botanica. Additionally, buying my wedding dress was a great experience at Bliss Bride.

Dave and I met at the wedding of mutual friends, but did not go on our first date for over a year. Due to our mutual friends, Dave and I would constantly encounter each other at football games, BBQ’s and parties in the city of Chicago, where we both currently live. Our first date kicked off a year of love and friendship, and we were engaged on the following Christmas, when Dave proposed on the front doorstep of my family’s home in Encinitas, California.

Since we were planning a San Diego wedding from our home in Chicago, we relied heavily on the internet for locating our vendors. We were stunned when we came across True Photography’s website listed first on our google search of San Diego Wedding Photography. True’s ability to capture couples’ personality in their photos, along with the great locations and vibrant colors had us sold! We couldn’t have been happier with Aaron on the day of the engagement photo shoot. He encouraged us to be ourselves by incorporating a handstand, water fight and lots of laughter into our shoot. We loved our pictures so much that we hired True to design our Save-the-Date. You would not believe all of the compliments we’ve received!

Thank you Aaron and True Photography! We can’t wait for you to capture our wedding at La Costa Resort and Spa on August 14!
