We met in the summer of 1995 when we were in high school, volunteering at Scripps Hospital Chula Vista. There was an instant attraction between the two of us, but nothing came of it. We remained friends when Ronnie left for college to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. When I graduated high school and started college at the University of California, Irvine, Ronnie started visiting me as often as he could. Eventually our close friendship blossomed into the romance that was sparked from the beginning. Somehow the long distance relationship thrived between us. We were able to grow individually into young adults, but remain a strong couple that never strayed from each other.

If the 233 mile distance between us wasn’t tested during college, it was about to be put to the ultimate test. I left for Optometry School in Chicago after graduating college. Again, we stayed true to each other as we pursued our post-graduate degrees.

Finally, in the summer of 2007, we were reunited in San Diego to start our professional lives. With enough stability in our lives, both personally and professionally, things were finally falling into place. On our 11th year anniversary, Ronnie proposed to me during a picnic on Harbor Island overlooking the San Diego skyline. Patience is definitely a virtue.

We chose True Photography because of the editorial appeal of the photos. We love how all the photos look like they came from Exquisite Weddings or 944 Magazine!

We expected the Engagement shoot to be very fun. And it definitely was! Mike was so easy to get along with! We love how he caught us in our natural state when we interact with each other.
