Recently, we photographed the engagement of Ashlee and Jeff in Belmont Park, and the Mission Bay Sportcenter. This fun-loving couple met during their time as undergrads at the University of Arizona, but didn’t go on their first date until much later. This past year, Jeff surprised Ashlee with a proposal at her 1920’s-themed birthday, with many of her closest friends in attendance.

Although Ashlee and Jeff are Arizona residents, they knew they wanted to venture out of the desert and onto the beach. Keeping in line with their nautical themed wedding, a sailboat dock seemed like the perfect backdrop for the engagement shoot. However, the weekend they arrived in San Diego for the shoot, it rained the entire time! In fact, it poured up until about 2 hours before the shoot, and then the sky cleared in time for a gorgeous sunset.

During the shoot, we got great photos of Ashlee and Jeff in and around Belmont Park, enjoying the sights and carnival games. Then, we ventured down to Mission Bay Sportscenter for the oceanfront views. We are excited to photograph their upcoming wedding (and wish them better weather)! Check out highlights below from the photo session :)
