You always hear that balance is a good thing. It might be a balanced diet, a balanced budget, the balance of yin and yang, or leading a balanced life. Balance is also very important when it comes to wedding photography. With balanced photography, we ensure that all the most important moments and events from the day are covered.
Our perfect balance is a nice mix of candids, details, formals and artistic/stylized photos. We feel that if all your photos are traditional-style portraits, it can be a little sleepy. On the other hand, if all your pictures are funky and artistic, you may look back wishing you had a normal picture of your mom. We are always thinking of what you will want now and what will become very important 50 years from now.
Getting that balance is an art form in itself. Here’s an example of each of the approaches that make up a balanced mix of images:
PORTRAITURE
CANDID FUN
CANDID EMOTIONAL
ARTISTIC, STYLIZED
OVERALL ROOM SHOT DETAIL
CLOSE UP DETAILS
VIBRANT COLOR
BLACK & WHITE
